What we actually do is start by understanding the business. Not the tech. The business. Where the time goes, what's actually broken versus what's just annoying, and what you'd fix if you could. Then we tell you what we'd do about it in plain language.

Sometimes a spreadsheet or an off-the-shelf tool is the best thing for the job, and we'll say so rather than sell you a project. Just as often it's the reverse. Something looks like a quick fix until it has real data and real people depending on it every day, and then it becomes the problem. Knowing which one you're looking at is most of the job.
